Godzilla is one of two default playable characters in G:MOM, as well as the anomalous cartridge itself. While he looks and normally acts just like the blue lizard (depending on the playthrough), it's worth mentioning how exactly Godzilla works.

A long time ago, before the cartridge was created, there was an intergalactic mass murderer, infamous for cleansing planets of their whole populations within a day. What was most striking happened to be their resemblance to Godzilla himself. So, when it came time that the game needed a vessel for Godzilla, the agelums tracked down this criminal and killed him dead. His body was then cut up and then put in a huge machine where vessel after vessel is created so no playthrough goes without Godzilla.

Once a playthrough ends, Godzilla vessels (as well as other kaiju vessels) have the potential to live peaceful and docile lives depending on where they end up. However, one can only imagine what would happen if one of these vessels were to regain their old memories....
